Silverstone MotoGP Triumph!

What a weekend at Silverstone for the British MotoGP round. The GOAT proved just that as his legendary talent kept him upright and on the pace all the way to the finish line, a worthy winner during a very wet race!

And whilst Cal Crutchlow was unlucky, being wiped out only a few laps in, it was fantastic to see Scott Redding get a good result at last and Bradley Smith keep his brilliant year heading in the right direction even if he did fall a place in the overall standings.

Moto 2 wasn’t quite the success us fans wanted as Sam Lowes did the sensible thing and made sure he finished rather than trying to keep up with the guys who had a good rain setup.  A real shame but a very good race nonetheless.

But Moto 3 proved perfect, with Danny Kent once again showing he really is a class act!  Mr Consistent was just that, a brilliant ride, focused in very tricky conditions, how do they do it?!

MotoGP at Silverstone

Scott Redding

This year Spyder Club became proper residents of Silverstone Race Circuit rather than virtual residents of the Innovation Centre, Silverstone, as we have been for the last 5 years.  The excitement around the circuit has been building for a number of weeks with many of the race trucks arriving shortly after the Brno round.

When we first started at Donington Park, the same happened, the build up to the British round of MotoGP was fantastic to be a part of, even if just from the sidelines. Well here we are again, same feelings, different circuit, excitement building, and Spyder Club enjoying being properly established at a world class motor racing circuit again, home!!

Lets hope the racing is electric and we see British riders on the top step, or at least on the podium in MotoGP!

Good luck to Scott Redding, Bradley Smith, Cal Crutchlow, Sam Lowes, Eugene Laverty, Danny Kent and John McPhee, go well lads!

On Saturday we ran our second Spyder Club Open Day of the year and it was another well attended event with great riding weather. Guests got to spend time riding a number of the Spyder Club fleet on some of the brilliant riding roads around the Silverstone circuit.

In attendance were both members and trip guests and potential members and trip guests, the latter wanting to find out about the services Spyder Club offers.

The open days give potential customers the opportunity to speak with Spyder Club representatives, members and trip guests.

If you’d like to come along to an open day in the future the simplest way to be kept up to date is join our mailing list.
